Walgreens vs. Express Scripts

Even the social media became a witness to the battle between Walgreens and Express Scripts. Effective Jan. 1st, 2012 Walgreens is no longer connected to Express Scripts. The efforts of the former to renew the contract were wasted. 

The ones who are caught in the middle of this medical battle are the Express Scripts plan holder and the sick patients. They are forced to come out of their way, out of their convenience just to purchase their needed medications. The once oh-so convenient 24-hour Walgreens pharmacies and drive thrus are now eliminated as their options. Not only that, they may be even forced to switch pharmacists. This is just bad as others have already developed a personal relationship with their Walgreens pharmacists.
